Whenever my partner-in-crime Daniel and I lift weights, afterward, I take a shower first while he prepares our post-workout smoothie. I can never seem to recreate this smoothie– the following is more of an “eyeball estimate” of his magic smoothie recipe. It’s the tastiest thing to have after every work out!
We also take some branch chain amino acids (BCAAs), L-glutatmine, and L-carnitine pills with this smoothie.
You will find no sugar, lots of antioxidants from the blueberries, plenty of fiber and nutrients, and lots of protein for muscle building. FYI, Daniel drinks WAYYY more camel’s milk than I do (as in, he drinks it 3 times a day whereas I only drink it once a day) and in 2 months, according to his DXA scans, he has gained a little over 7 lbs of muscle. I’ve also gained muscle (more like 3.5 lbs in 2 months) and we’ve both lost body fat.
Daniel’s Post-Workout Smoothie
Ingredients: 2 raw pasture-raised eggs 4 cubes of ice 1/2 c organic frozen blueberries 16 oz raw camel milk 4 tbs Vitafiber syrup* 2 tbs grass-fed collagen protein powder 1/2 tsp 5 Defenders mushroom powder 1 tbs vanilla extract 15 drops liquid stevia 1/2 tsp spirulina 1 tbs xylitol 2 tbs erythritol 1 tsp creatine monohydrate 1 tbs L-glutamine powder 1 scoop Natural Stacks Pre-biotic Fiber 2 scoops Natural Stacks Natural Protein (Whey/Collagen)
In a blender, mix all of the above (except the last ingredient) with half the camel’s milk, then add the Natural Stacks Natural Protein with the rest of the camel’s milk. Drink and enjoy! Also, be sure to enjoy immediately, as otherwise, the smoothie will start to separate into constituent layers as well as the egg fat start to oxidize.
*The IMO sweetner may not actually be low carb upon further online research but it’s post work-out so a bit of glycogen pump added to the muscles isn’t so bad.
